Trans Self-Compassion (TSC) & Shame Resilience: Radical Healing through Holding the Hard

For Trans & Nonbinary Adults (in any location)

 Trans Self-Compassion & Shame Resilience

Biweekly 10-Part Series

Build shame resilience and strengthen self-compassion with other trans & nonbinary adults in this 10-part, 2-hour workshop series. For 2Spirit, Trans, &/or Nonbinary adults who struggle with feeling “not ___ enough”, or “too much ___ .”

The TSC Workshop may be the connection & community you’ve been looking for…

  • You are a Two-Spirit, Trans, and/or Nonbinary adult who feels 'not _____ enough' or 'too much' related to something about yourself your identity (e.g., internal/external thoughts/messages like, "If I were more/less ________, then I'd be worthy/desirable")

  • You like the idea of a space with other trans and nonbinary folks where you don't need as much emotional energy to justify your experiences related to gender.

  • You focus a lot on reaching the expectations and ideals of others, societal norms, pressures, etc. (e.g., when you make a mistake or 'fail' at something, you feel stuck and unable to move forward, often blaming yourself and struggling to sit in discomfort.)

  • You have a lot of compassion for others but struggle to offer that same nurturing to yourself. (e.g., others constantly tell you you're "too hard on yourself!")

  • You can identify at least one role, identity, character trait, relationship, etc. that you'd like to learn ways to be more nurturing to yourself through difficult experiences/feelings.

*Why is a 10-week commitment important?

- The constructs & material builds on itself each week;

- There are multiple opportunities for questions, reflection, discussion, and experiential application of the material during the two-hour block each week; &

- Consistency strengthens the relationships and accountability among participants.

Group members are strongly encouraged to commit to attending all workshop dates.*

*If you are uncertain about your decision to register and/or your availability to attend all 10 gatherings, please reach out to chat with addyson first.

If you discover you are unable to commit to the workshop and need to cancel your registration, please do so by Fri, 1/26/24 so that others who are waiting can be offered a spot.

Co-facilitators, addyson & Sagen, are 2STNB community members with liberation values.

Tier D: *Limited* PWYC Equity Rate

  • Pay on the date of each workshop (rate x 10) or extended payment plan to reduce the weekly cost (early bird)

Recurring payment through a 3rd party stripe connection (via moonclerk). This is not a clinical group and therefore insurance reimbursement is not available.

You are expected to pay for the full workshop series regardless of attendance. In the event that you are unable to attend a weekly workshop for any reason, all materials will be provided as well as the opportunity to ask questions about what you missed.

If your capacity to pay the agreed-upon amount changes at any point, please do not cancel your recurring payment. Instead, notify addyson ASAP to discuss options as they are able to modify and/or pause your payments if needed.

  • There will be NO RECORDING of participant discussions (as a full group or within breakout groups) to respect privacy and to allow for vulnerable connection with others.

With the consent of group members, addyson may record portions of the psychoeducational component of that week's material in limited circumstances.

  • Because of the time and effort spent creating and maintaining the material, and preparing for facilitation, participants are strongly encouraged to be sure about their decision to enroll prior to registering.

Once the group begins, you will be charged accordingly for the workshop per your payment agreement. If for some reason the workshop is not a good fit and you would like to stop attending, please reach out to addyson ASAP. Refunds are not offered for any services rendered.

Limited spots are offered for equity pricing, ‘pay what you can.’ PWYC Equity spots are Reserved for those who hold multiple marginalized identities and who do not have access to the resources to participate otherwise, for example, 2STGNB folks at the intersections of class, health, ability, size and/or race.
